slippery records??

is there anyway to make them less slippery, They're so difficult to mix with, take ages to get up to speed.

An example of such records would be

MIKE - turn out the lights
Danny C - The Twist

anyone got any suggestions

these records are thinner, therefore not spinning up faster, you just hafto use your fingers, or get different slipmats.

that is used for playing 7" vinyl with a bigger hole.. but i guess it can be used as a weight.. although i think itd be annoying when changing tracks. any thin vinyl i have i just compensate with how i queue it up. just practice a bit and its pretty easy to get around.

or maybe you could Blu-Tak it to the top of an old record (non slippy one), thats what i do with my 7" & 10" records!

Practice
learn to deal with it.

Warped one sided records are slippier than a very slippy thing from slippy world covered in oil, but shit happens.

Or glue them to a spare pair of slipmats.

Or learn to pitch and adjust using the slider and not touching the vinyl itself
