Kimbo is a street fighter who made his rep by video taping prize fights. Gannon first wanted a no rules match, but Kimbo didn't agree. What they did agree on was no kicks. Kicks being strikes with the shin or foot. So according to the rules Kimbo agreed to, knees were legal.
