turntable problemm

my ground wire (black) on the inside of the turntable disconected
i was just re soldiering everything but i got no clue where the black wire was
it's not indicated on the inside
so i got no clue
any help?

it is a stanton str8-90

hm actually tha doesnt seem to be the problem i coneected the ground but this time the sound isnt coming out from the tt at all..into the mixer..everything is connected properly..including the soldiering of the wires..
any ideas?

during soldering you may have fused 2 connections or fused parts of the circuit near where the wires need to be. This would either not allow any signal output or invert the phase, which I'm sure you know, could render the signal at no output value, if the mixer does any phase inversions internally.

I'd love to have a look at it, but don't have the time to mission out there. If you could post some detailed pix, I'm sure myself and other might be able to help.

Try disconnecting the ground wire, cos you might have grounded the whole lot by accident. But even then you'd have had to have done it to both channels which is a bit weird.

Apart from that you'd need to show a pic or something. Don't supose you've got a multimeter?
