I am thinking about picking these up. Right now my Alesis' are on stands about 2 meters from my equipment. I can put these pads right on the table i built. I have a 15" deep platform that my computer monitor sits on and I can put my 2 monitors right next to them bringing my monitors much closer to my ears.

Anyone use these? Do they really help? Soak up some of the vibration that will be cause by the speakers?

Do i need to worry about my monitors being too close to my TTs?

I have my speakers on the same tables as my decks. I have two bricks under each one and that seems to do the trick. I originally added them mainly to get them above the height of my TTs (and they were free, found them in my backyard). I have never had any vibration problems with them.

I have them isolting my Mackie HR824 on my production desk. Without them, the monitors vibrate the desk on bass heavy tracks but with them I hardly feel any vibrations.

Nou you make a good point. I think these foam things are definately worth it.

At home I do almost exclusivly use FS, however I have not had problems with normal 12" either. I think it is a combination of the bricks and the techs themselves are pretty solid. As you can see the desk just has my tables and mixer, nothing light that is easier to vibrate (like a keyboard or something). I also put folded paper towels on either side of the bricks so they don't scratch the speakers or desk.
