"The marijuana users had PI values that were somewhat higher than those of people with chronic high blood pressure and diabetes," Herning said in a statement. "However, their values were lower than those of people with dementia. This suggests that marijuana use leads to abnormalities in the small blood vessels in the brain." They found that blood flow improved in people who smoked up to 70 marijuana cigarettes a week -- people they defined as moderate users -- after a month of avoiding cannabis. Heavy users, who smoked up to 350 joints a week, saw no change in blood flow even after a month, the researchers said. Researchers at Toronto's McGill University have reported that chronic consumers of cannabis lose molecules called CB1 receptors in the brain's arteries. This reduces blood flow to the brain, causing attention deficits, memory loss, and impaired learning ability.

actually my brother was like that for a while. and they usually get in a group of a few people and pass a lot around for a long period o time.


Also you have to think of how the experimenter actually recorded how mnay joints a week these people smoked. I know for a fact that if the survey was published from my high school I would have been marked down for smoking crack more than 30 times a day.

I want to meet someone that smokes 70 joints a day. Maybe 70 joints of some nasty ass bud but 1 joint of the stick dankness is all you need maybe even for 2 days. I consider myself a huge pothead and I only smoke a few bowls a day. 70 joints a day is ridiculous 350 is completely unreal. Everyone knows smoking bud slows your brain down a little but I think the difference is negligible. I still make good grades at university even though I'm stoned all the time. Some people just can't function normally when they're high though.
