I wonder why the name Paul Van Dyk.

His first name is Matt ( English)

One would think they would use his first name not his last name for the begining of his fake DJ name. wonder if Van Dyk means something.

Actually, imo, Matt Paul, his real name, sounds better than paul van dyk.

Quite uninteresting, die-hard to the point of ridiculous type topic but regardless: I would imagine his name is Matthias Paul Van Dyk. So what would've been Matthias Van Dyk, became Paul Van Dyk.

paul derives from paulus; paulus is latin and means "the small one"
so this name is really international (paul, paolo etc...)

Paul is no jewish name at all; PvD is actually very unlikely jewish
