new moogwai trance artist album
wow.. 4 new tunes from moogwai.. im eager to hear this .
Francois Chabloz does trance well, REALLY well in fact. You’re probably aware of this man under either his Moogwai name (which is why we’re here today) or his deeper moniker ‘CHAB’ (now signed to Yoshitoshi – who da man!) At a time when commercial trance is so irritatingly clichéd, giving the rest of the trance world a bad name, Moogwai drops this outstanding debut album proving real trance is out there and more alive than ever.
Born it Italy and currently residing in Switzerland, Moogwai’s first release ‘A Night Out’ and the self titled ‘Moogwai’ graced such high profile mix albums as Paul Oakenfolds ‘Essential Millennium’ as well as being picked up by Anthony Pappa to appear on his critically acclaimed ‘Best Of Platipus’ CD. Having arrived at the Platipus office as an unsigned demo, Label boss Simon Berry was quick to realise his talents and signed Moogwai to the label.
His next outing ‘Keo’ continued Moogwai’s ascent within the dance scene, but when his next release ‘Viola’ dropped in 2000, Moogwai’s profile was blown wide open. The single went onto become one of the club successes of the year, appearing on over a million compilations worldwide.
‘5 Wishes & More’ sees Moogwai drop his hot new album project, bringing together previous singles ‘Neon’ and ‘Labyrinth’ along with four brand new tracks: ‘The Nord Song’, ‘Anagram’, ‘1AD’ and the title track ‘5 Wishes & More’ along with an exclusive unreleased Tektonik Remix of the club anthem 'Viola 2005'.
This album combines elements of deep, melodic, uplifting trance and progressive production that all add up to the characteristically unique Moogwai sound to give you an insight into why this man has the likes of Tiësto, Oakenfold, Jules, Matt Hardwick and Dave Pearce waiting with baited breath for his latest productions and how Moogwai has captivated dance floors across the globe with his trademark sound.
