The breakdown is really really long, but I guess thats what you were going for so it works. I love the layering of melodies, a lot of the echoing and panned sounds are great. I liked pretty much everything. I have a question though....did you guys make all those sweeping sounds and effects yourself? I feel like I remember you mentioning using Spectrasonic's Atmosphere and was wondering if thats the vst you used for some of those cool sweeping ambient type sounds. Anyway, great job. Get it out there now and get it played. |
Hey, thanks for listening... The breakdown is quite long, we are considering shortening it a bit... or adding something else to make it move along quicker. Yes we do use atmosphere for a lot of our sounds... but mostly for pads, and other synths. For our sweeping ambient sound effects, most of those we make ourselves. We find percussive sounds or samples that we like, and basically do whatever we possibly can do to them. Usually cymbal crashes work really well, and also using sweeping samples and tweaking them works as well (its also a lot easier). We try to avoid using premade sound effects to stay a bit more original. Great to hear your feedback. Keep em coming. =).
