Any tips? I am just now discovering tracks from last summer and fall that I enjoy greatly. It seems I am usually a good 6 months lagged behind tracks but I notice people post their "top ten of the moment" and all the tracks are brand new and I have never heard them. So what would be your recommendations for keeping up-to-date?

Take weekly visits to the Record Store for one thing. There are always EDM release sites. theres discogs www.discogs.com, oh yeah..this one should be obvious, there is the new release forum on TA

but yeah, the record store is your best bet. online/or a physical store

well, ASOT aint a very good way to keep oneself updated, because u wont have much diversity that way.

Check out all the new releases sections of online stores, listen to samples if they have any... that way you are kept up to date, and you are very likely to pick up tunes that no one has heard yet... although sometimes there aren't any good productions released for months.

If you get it just right you can play stuff you just know is cheese and get rid of it before anyone else figures it out.
