Question for owners of Technics (which is probably most of you :D)
I'm bidding on a turntable on eBay and the auction says everything works as it should except that the little pop up light bulb needs to be replaced. What type of bulb is it and can it be replaced easily by hand?

the pop-up LED light. Some ppl use it, some ppl don't. It's just a small led light that you should be able to purchase from technics or from a decent pro-audio shop. replacement however is another story.

While some of the pictures on this link don't work. It does give you a fair idea on how the whole process of replacing the light works.
i think the pop-up lights are the first thing (and usually the only thing other than the tone arm clip) to go. they either burn out or get stuck down. if you are handy with electronics and a soldering iron, you can replace them yourself. otherwise find an authorized technics repair shop. i personally use my pop up lights alot, especially when im trying to figure out how much time ive got left on a 33rpm record with 2 tracks on the side im playing.
and good job goin with techs. even if they are used and beat to shit, they will probably still work and sound great.
