7-8 PM - Cryo (WGMU Radio) Progressive

cryo began as a bedroom dj at the age of 15 and now 19, has slowly
moved out into the local scene with a short residency at Penang on Saturday
Nights with Greedy and his debut at Transit in February. Now attending
George Mason University, cryo has teamed up with Mac as residents of
the Sunday Night EDM show. His style consists of progressive and house
but he is willing to venture to any genre. Catch cryo as a resident on

8-9 PM - Nima (Progressive house)

Forced to relocate from his home town of Sydney, Australia, Nima Azam
settled in Richmond, Va upon making VCU his college of choice in 2001.
In 2003 Nima made his move into the Washington, DC area and in February
of 2004 Nima turned to the decks as a relief from depression. Nima
along with his college roommate, Nick Sirris, formed Digital Gratification
in early 2005. With influences ranging from Depeche Mode, Echomen, and
Dan Sampson, their style continues to evolve a mixture of progressive
house and dark tribal rhythms that is sure to become infectious upon
those who experience it.

9-10 PM - Themba (Dark progressive tribal house)

Currently a resident DJ of Penang every Friday night since December of
2004 where he started spinning along side DJ Nima. In his two years of
Djing, Themba has held a weekly residency on the 4th floor of Ozio
Thursdays nights and Penang Fridays. His style blends dark progressive
house with tribal drums that keep the groove going to the last beat.
Strongly influenced by Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Sasha, and John
Digweed, Themba continues to express his passion for the drums in every set
that he executes.
