Well, if you think they're a peice of shit, then upgrading is probably the right way to go. If you're not quite willing to shell out the $$$ for the Whitelabels, the Shure M44G's are a great (and cheap) option.

There's no need to get Whitelabels if your just spinning in your room.

You might get some better sound quality from Whitelables or Ortofons but it won't make you a better DJ if you have them.

If you start having tracking problems (i.e. when you back cue, the needle skips one groove or a few grooves back) and it can't be fixed with added wieght, then you will probably want new needles.

My advice: spend the money on quality vinyl and practice...worry about flashy needles later.

K, thanks for your help guys, can i ask another though?

When i started a friend of mine told me not to crap out on shitty tables and save up for good ones, which i am totally glad i did because i tried playing on stanton's and i could do shit on them.

and then my new stanton pro dj 3000 headphones broke and i was sad...

now i have saved enough to get the behringer djx700, but would this be a bad investment i have never played on it before, i know it mimics the djm600.... is it any good?

I'd go with the M44G's as well. My needles are pretty shot also, and I think i'm goin with those.

Although, I've been looking on Ebay lately and there have been some good prices for NEW whitelabels, so I might go with those.

i also recommend the shure m44g

even for club use they were a good needle

good tracking, low record burn and a decent price for what you get
