Which way are your tables set?

Just wondering on how everyone prefers to set their tables, Horizontally or Vertically?

Examples:

Vertical

Horizontal

not a big fan of battle set-up. cant stand having to reach over the tone arm in order to screw around with the pitch. I always feel like im going to know over the arm

Mix style, I dont scratch so there's no need to set them up battle style.

Eventually I want to learn to scratch and do some hip-hop beats so I may turn them if-and when that happens.

Horizontal, as per, it makes it easy to use and move the pitch...

I have mine set up horizontal.
I have battled as a DJ but even used horizontal then.

The vertical style came about as some DJs in the late 80's had trouble performing certain tricks and the tone arm on the left deck kept on getting in the way. Others didn't have this problem but as stated it's a turntablist thing primarlily designed to assist complexed beat juggling.

Frankly speaking, there isn't anyone (that's known) in trance today that performs tricks so complexed and speed based that they would need to set the decks up in the vertical manner so it isn't really necessary, that's not to say however that if someone liked playing like this there is no reason why they shouln't be allowed to.
The need just doesn't exist that's all.

Cheers
Nem
