otha than that any half-decent wave editor (so long as it opens mp3's) is good... cool edit 2000 or cool edit pro (but u need an mp3 plug-in) are very good, and can easily be got from www.zdnet.com (hunt for the crack urself it aint hard to find)
hope this helps

I always use this one from the DjMixes2K site and works fine for me.
Easy to use, fast and just a small download. www.freebyte.com/download/hjsplit.zip
Cheerio!

Mp3 Direct cut
The mp3 cutter program available is not good for precision editing...I found I had to do too many re-cuts to get it perfect.
Mp3 Direct Cut is what I use....works alright on large files...has some bugs as expected but has never let me down.
