Jester Eat your words!!!!

I'm really glad that Liverpool got through to the semi-finals last night, and it was made even more satisfying by comments like this:

Emerson: "We were unlucky to lose in England, especially after the performance we produced in the second half," Emerson said. "They scored from a dead-ball situation and with a strike that I can't see Luis Garcia producing again in another 50 attempts. On the other hand, we hit the post, had a goal disallowed and were stopped twice by great saves from their goalkeeper.

"I am sure things will be very different for Liverpool here in Turin. We are planning to give Liverpool a taste of the same medicine we received at Anfield. Juve are one of the world's hardest sides to beat, even more so when we are playing at home, so we don't fear Liverpool. They will regret having let in that Fabio Cannavaro goal in the first leg.

"Lots of people prefer to talk about Juve's defensive skill, either in a good or a bad way, but we have enough people around able to score goals when we need them. We have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Del Piero and Marcelo Zalayeta who can score goals and I fancy my own chances of scoring on Wednesday too. I don't believe Liverpool can keep a clean sheet against us in Turin."

Emerson also stated that without the injured Steven Gerrard, Liverpool have very little else to worry Juve.

"Liverpool do not have a fantastic squad, but in individual terms, Steven Gerrard is an amazing player. He is very intelligent and also deceptively quick. He is their best player by a long way."

and.... "As an AC Milan fan and a Croatian cheering for Igor Biscan,
I'd LOVE to see Juve lose this tie.....
But honestly 2-1 Liverpool is basically a win for Juve.
They will easily go thru to the semis"

or.... "This is a better result for juve than they had in the first leg of the madrid tie. They will overturn the scoreline imo and I can't see them conceding in turin.

this liverpool team don't yet know what it is to play european football properly, all out attack for 30 mins then they were left breathing out there arse in the second half. Juve could have scored more if they had a decent striker, but imbrahimovic and del piero were scandelously bad."

Liverpool made one of the best teams in europe look REALLY ordinary, well done the reds!!!

this game had the longest 90 min of my entire life hehe.games like this one can't be good for you heart.

anyways,i'm really glad that they made it through the q-finals.this game was a tactical win from benitez' side.though i can say that the game might have been boring for neutral people who watched the game, but on the other side, for die-hard lfc fans, it was a real killer

for some reason i'm pretty confident on that we will go through to the finals. just got a good feeling about it

milan vs lfc in final

liverpool done nothing to make juve look ordinary. Juve did all that themselves.

Credit to liverpool tho, you can only beat whats put in front of you. I hope they make it to the final. Liverpoll vs milan would be a great game.
