reason sequencer

can sounds from other software be input into and arranged by the reason sequencer? conversely, can sounds from reason be input into an external sequencer, like the one on fruity loops? (i dont think so but its worth a shot) finally, what is the best sequencer (for both remixing and arranging)? i know the obvious answer is pro tools but my budget does not allow it! so, out of the second-tier sequencers (sonar, logic etc) which is king?

Cubase SX can use all sound sources (synths/samplers/loopplayers)in Reason via ReWire.

I prefer to work with Cubase , but that is also because I started out (a long time ago) on an Atari with Cubase. I hear Logic is pretty good too.

no reason doesn't have any kind of midi out...so you can't make other software play the notes from Reason's seq.

The only thing you can do is rewire but that's more like synchronized playing :> or how to say eh :-/ someone will hopefully explain better
