ANTONIO (Green Gorilla Lounge, Rong Music, SAN FRANCISCO)
Anthony got his first taste of house music in the early underground house scene of Northern California circa 1992. A heady mix of full-moon parties, beach parties, dirty warehouses, laid-back clubs, and crazy house-parties coupled with psychedelic, funky, deep house and organic breaks. In 1993 Anthony met Manny (dj M3) and began promoting both club and underground events, including Deep Space and Get Down, Get Down.
By 1994, Anthony went back home for college in Upstate NY at Skidmore. While there he threw his own monthly club events, countless basement house parties and an annual band/dj fund raiser for Students For A Free Tibet. Anthony also hosted a popular radio show for four years show casing house, dub, disco, hip hop, funk and soul all mixed.
In 1998, Anthony moved back to his home town of Ithaca, New York and began promoting club and underground events. He started Beat-Down, Upstate’s longest running house weekly, which continues to this day. Anthony’s biggest contribution to Ithaca was Odyssey Night Club where he was the first employee, resident dj, general manager and booking agent. Located downtown in a historic Masonic temple, this 20,000 sq. ft. mega-club hosted such luminaries as Maceo Parker, Soulive, Black Eyed Peas, The English Beat, New Deal, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Derrick Trucks, John Brown’s Body as well as DJ Mark Farina, Soulstice, Markie & Jeno from Wicked, Vitamin D, DJ Who, and many others.
Anthony’s newest chapter is a return to San Francisco--djing, producing and promoting. Local events include: LE BOOM (Pink 2925 16th st @ S. Vanness, SF), GREEN GORILLA LOUNGE monthly underground or club event featuring two rooms of sound; and FULLY LOADED the bimonthly underground collective between Sunset and the Green Gorilla posse.
EDDIE JONES (Electrophobic, NP)
A veteran of the New York House music scene since the early '90s, Eddie started his DJ career spinning his own style of Tech-House in 2001. His reputation quickly found him performing in many of New York City’s most renowned venues including the Centro-fly and Spirit nightclubs. His popularity has also brought him to play around the USA, from Washington DC, Fort Lauderdale, FL to San Francisco.
GENTI (Buyrum.net)
Origanally from Kosovo, Genti (Buyrum.net), Gentian Rizaj has been spinning records since school days in his native country. Four years ago he co-founded Buyrum, the production company and soon to be record label in NYC and has been organizing and performing at events of all sizes all over the city since then. Genti spins dub, eastern, jazzy, tribal house music. He has had extensive experience at performing with live musicians and delivers a sound that is at the cutting edge of todays dance scene - including performances at Spirit (NYC), Turntables on the Hudson (Frying Pan NYC), London, UK, and many more!
