Whos going??? Ive never been to Canal room.......what's it like and is there a dress code??? This should be a good show.

Not going (Space DJz for me), but have been to the Canal Room. It's much smaller than Crobar, but at the same time larger than the really small clubs (Sully, DeVille, etc.). I would estimate the capacity to about 700 people? Anyway, there's a big dance floor surrounded by couches and the room is kept pretty dark (obviously that may be changed for this event). The sound system is fantastic - maybe the best I've ever experienced, and definately the best I've heard in NYC.
canal room is pretty cool- everything soren said and more. they've never denied based on someone's clothes and i've seen everything from suits to breakers in there. thus, jeans are fine. sometimes the crowd gets a lil pretentious with the wannabe models teetering with drinks in hands and being bitchy as usual. but usually the crowd ist gud
