i have rec. many bedroom sets using *Audacity* but im sick of the beat glitches while rec. what do yall use to rec. your sets, and how legit is it?

I've been a soundforge user since 4.5 - really you can't go wrong with it, the quality of it's features keeps going from strength to strength (not too happy about Sony buying rights to it though...goodness knows what kind of bullshit restrictions we'll see in the future).
You could also try Adobe Audition - I've not used that yet but it's actually the new version of Cool Edit (yep, Adobe bought that too).

audition is great for every mastering/recording stuff
hiphop producers from my neighbourhood are using Cubase SX 3 for recording. They say that they get better results using cubase SX 3 than using wavelab and soundforge. ( some tracks had glitches and clicks but now there productions sound really clean with cubase SX 3 )
but imo, it doesn't really matter what you use
