Infinityloop - Aftertaste [prog/full 128k]

Something a little rough edged from me, it might seem like some parts of the main melody distort but that was done on purpose. Anyway, have a listen and let me know what you think

@ soundclick.com
some people hate soundclick so if you preffer ->
@ mixposure.com

I've been rediculously busy finnishing my simester at university and moving back home, but now i can relax and finaly have time to listen/review some of your songs before i take off to spain(ibiza) on the 18th...

enjoy.

Hey mate,

Just listened to your new track. To start of with the first seconds, please kill that bass It almost made my windows burst haha.

For the rest, it is clear you are original in creating an own flavor in your tracks. You have done so with all your tracks. But this track is even for progressive not earcandy enough.

The lead sound is very nice , I will grant you that. But the stringpad you use during the break does not match. You should not have made it a-tonal, non matching with the lead melody. I recommend you make that melody a normal warm one to give the track a bit more soothing edge.

Cheers!

Interesting rythm, though I think the stuff youre doing with the kickdrum gets a bit annyoing after some time. I think this needs a more distinct kick.
2:00 - ha, i really like that lead, sounds Psy ... that dark and cold background sounds rule. I dont know if this is my system but it gets a little distorted in parts I think.
Great tune, well produced. Especially the lead works really well for me!

Listening through mixposure.

Bad quality.

Kick seems to be weak.

At 2 mins it sounds cool with that acidish sound

When that melody comes it, the whole thing sounds different, it's like some dirty beat with a dreamy sound. It didn't sound right for my taste.

Indeed string patch doesnt suit, but sure sounds nice.

I actually liked the beat, it just need adjustments though.

the bass drum is different, a little unsettling. This shit is mad!

2.00 love that sound.

Im getting use to the bass drum. It's refeshing to hear something different.

2.50 reverbed bleeps work well

4.20 ............... awesome break beat. nice layering.

I like this track; It's original & interesting.

bass and kick, no good to ears. compress 'em.
also try to reduce the reverb on the bass/kick.
some percussions/fx sounds distorted.
heh 2:00, some crazy beat..but I didn't really like that acid sound.
love that instrument @ 2:40 & 4:00!
nice breakbeat..
again, some stuff sounds distorted. maybe the track is overcompressed?
overall I think it's..ok...

i would say take out some of the reverb on the kick
i like when the haunting synth starts to come in around 110
i love the beat at 2:00 minutes all of it together
245 when that bell sounding synth comes on, i like that synth and the melody is really nice
i love the breakdown, nice pad there too
nice breakbeat too, love the percs you do on it (clean up the kick a little too)
overall really nice tune =)

yey, I'm really glad you guys can embrace some different sounding stuff, I realize there is some stuff in there that isn't really suited to some people's preffrences but overall I'm really happy with the result and your opinions
