LoveJoy - Run
my first impression of this song was that it was catchy...i liked the lead vocalists voice. It sounds like the levels on this track were worked on so everything was balanced quite well and all the instruments sounded good. They could have been a little fuller, but that will come after a professional mastering. then when the chorus came i didn't really like the way your two voices went together. i think your supporting vocals were competing too much with the main vocalists. it might've just been a little awkward because you were signing below him. Maybe its just the notes that you are singing that didn't really compliment the lead. the timing on the backup vocals was fine, but the volume might have been a little loud and that's why it seemed to fight for prominence with the main chorus. think that they were taking up too much of the same space in the track. however, at the end when you both are singing the "when will we learn, to live our lives...", that part sounded great...never the less, this was my favorite of the three tracks...
LoveJoy - Candyman
i really liked your chorus vocals in this track...its probably the strongest part of the track. once again the levels of the instruments and the vocals were good. keeping my own opinions about style out of this, some parts of the main vocals on this one didn't really sound right to me and i think its primiarily the fact that he is rhyming the lyrics and then ever so often a phrase or two will stick out in the mix because it isn't rhymed and it just doesn't flow very well. the second half of the track when the guy comes in with the rapped lyric section...that sounded great. i thought that section complimented the track well and it didn't ruin the flow of the tune.
LoveJoy - Pack Your Bags
in this track i think the fast male vocals were pulled off a lot better in the begining then in Candyman. it might be because the instruments are the focus and his vocals are supporting them instead. it flowed a lot nicer. once again your vocals worked very well in the track in this one. i liked the transition into your vocals sections and it sounded fine. the one thing that was a little off in this track was your solo section in the middle of the track. i think you were trying to force a little too much with the attitude in your voice and i could tell. i wasn't bad and you might just be singing your style, but i think it'd work a lot nicer if you didn't force that sound into it. it works great in the rest of the song, but i think it would sound better and flow better if you continue with the soft sound you start with on the "yoouuu"...if you sung that entire little section in that softer way i think it would create a nice contrast to the rest of the song. its just when you hit some of those notes in that section it sticks out funny...
ps. your style of singing reminded me at times of Niki van Lierop from Lords of Acid if you know who that is hehehe. you guys just have a similar voice...
