Ok, they aired this show on E! last night. I watched it in hope of seeing some famous DJ's and getting info about the greatest place on earth.
I have to say I wasn't impressed. I thought that the way they portrayed the culture wasn't right. Isn't Ibiza about the music and the partying? They showed it in a sexual sense, what I didn't like. Americans, who are already associating trance with drugs and alcohol, would associate it with sex and crazy partying also. The crazy partying part is right, but everything else is not. Anyone who saw it, or didn't see it, what do you people think?
p.s. can anyone id any of the tracks played during the show? i noticed planet funk--chase the sun, and i saw a vinyl of modjo, but i couldn't read the title, something with "me". I especially want the amazing tune played in the background when they talked about those slutty dancers

i saw it a couple of weeks ago. it was all right but sex and drugs is all those wild on shows are about anyway. i would have liked to learn more about the ancient ruins though. as for songs i i think i heard blank & jones-nightfly but im probally wrong

well, ibiza is over the top in every sense. i don't know if there is a good way of portraying it. i heard some nasty shit goes on in the bathrooms of privelege...

and i hear san antonio is full of drunk british folks.

i plan on going to gatecrasher summer sound system and sensation, ibiza will be somewhere in between. god's kitchen is in birmingham right? i heard thats a gay club....dunno it its true or not.

also i know some cheap places to stay in ibiza, there's one nice hostel u can stay at for like $15 and a hotel just a 5 minute walk from privilege. i'm actually going to try to get a gig at space or pacha...that would be badass.

is a gay club? i dont know ethier. if someone good is spinning id still go there. that would be the shit if you got a gig though.

uh...which one? I don't think there really are any but I could be wrong.

I just got finished watching this and I thought it was all right. It shows the actual 'partying' too much but it did showcase the music a bit. Of course E! isn't a music channel and are obviously going to show the tourism aspects of the island and not the music.

There was once a special on VH1 on Ibiza and they talked about the music and deejaying much more. They talked to Judge Jules and Paul Oakenfold too. They also got a lot into the drug culture of the island...I don't know how much of one there is truthfully.

The only tune I recongnized from the E! show was 'Safri Duo - Played-Alive' during that day club where they spray the water on the people.

Ibiza = small island south of spain in the Mediterranean....it's a very big party, fun, place in the summertime especially, gets frequented my many "electronic dance music" dj's.....
