someone told me to do that to erase the mother fucken virus i got in my comp

Don't you have to press F12 during the Windows loading screen at startup?

Restart your computer, during the restart hold down the F8 key.

Hmm. Haven't used Safe Mode in a while.

F12 ... he could be thinking about his BIOS setup screen .. some boards ask you either the ESC, F1, or F12 .. my laptop is ESC, and my cheesy 533 is F1 .. hahahaha ..
