Cubase SX 2 - 1/32 Midi Problem

Hi Everyone....

I'm runing a bass line from a midi track on Cubase SX 2.2

Check a piece of the line:

My computer is a notebook Toshiba Satellite 1955, Pentium IV 2.4GHz, 512 ram, Usb and Firewire onboard.

My audiocard is an external M-Audio Firewire.

My Synth is a Clavia Nord Lead 3.

Now the PROBLEM:
When I play the bass line, the Nord Lead skips some notes, and weld others...

Now I want to know if it's a Clavia, Steinberg or M-Audio problem...

How can I FIX this problem? Does anyone have the same problem?

My Latency is 2.33 ms...

I have another keyboard (Roland RS-5), and an midi cable with an old sound blaster 64...

I will try other combinations to see if the problem continues...

But if someone have solved this, i will be very happy to know how.

Thanks for the help.

are you daisy chaining the the synths? or you could have a midi loop going on as well.

How are you set up?
What card do you have?
What Drivers?

If your nord is in arp mode while playing(dont have a NL3 so dont know) this sequence make sure the midi clock is set to the same tempo as Cubase or sync them up within Cubase.

Smiling Frog Try using FL studio and cubase sx

I had the same problem, but I now use FL studio 5.1 as a VST plug-in so I can still use cubase sx, besides FL Studio is much better when it comes to designing complex MIDI patterns.

IT just SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF MY POOR AMD 1.45 GHz CPU!!!!
Well that’s if you get out of control with complex plug-ins and shit I know a person can make super cool tunes with a 1ghz cpu
!!!!!!!
