I am trying to alter the tracks in real time using the effector 500 through midi with Acid or Soundforge. Reason is I would like to alleviate having to use the automation lines by having more control and spending less time having to zoom in to be precise. In order words, using the one click method to adjust level of effecs.

Also, I am having a hard time synchronizing the echo effects. On the effector, its a simple tap and release the effect.

Is it possible or do I need to stick with automation lines?

I don't have an fx-500 thingy nor do I use Acid Pro, but midi signals send a number for the position of a dial. Ranging from 0 to 127, they tell the reciever what position the paramater should be in. In order to send them properly, you need to use the automation lines.

I don't understand what you mean by "the one click method" though. Maybe if you explain this, we can help you out.
