Employment in Vancouver

Hi everyone, well, I'm probably making the move down to Vancouver within the next month or so, well, that's the plan atleast.

I do not have a place to live or a job, so I will be starting from scratch. I'm sure it won't be too hard to find a place to live, but my main concern is finding work. I am NOT a laborer! So that being said, where do you suggest I look for work?

Or even better does anyone know anywhere that is looking for full-time workers? If anyone can help me, or point me in a good direction, I will take all the advice I can get.
I'm really dying to get the hell outta Whistler, but it's a fucking TRAP!
Please help me

Kris

Heres my 2 cents if you even care... Vancouver is very, very sketchy as for work force. You'll have lots of work some months and not alot other months. Its a hit or miss within Vancouver for work, places to live are easy to find if your willing to live with other people, I would suggest looking for places to live in Burnaby or Kitsilano, especially "Kitsilano". VERY beautiful area, and a HUGE beach right in the suburb. Anyways, not sure if that will help or not...

p.s. As for work look in Vancouver Sun, lots of hotel jobs, restaurant jobs...

Im looking for a boy to shine shoes, dance for coins and play the hand organ. You get the free suit which was worn by my monkey before he died.

Man its easy to find a job is you're not a tool. If you have a good resume and good experience then you're good to go. If you got lots of serving experience you can get a job as a waiter but you got to have LOTS of experience for anywhere good. Bussing is a waste of time. If your really desperate hit up home depot they are in their busy season right now and its pretty easy to get a job at a place like that. If you have any sales or customer service experience get a job as a salesman, you'll make way more then waiters do. Im a salesman at unite furniture, it sounds like such a pissant job but i make more money then i know what to do with.

Well, I shitloads of experience in, well, just about everything, lol!
I figured it wouldn't be too hard to find a job, compared to here atleast, but thanks for the help, and I'll probably be dropping off some resumes when I head down for Armin!

Does anyone know anybody with a place for rent either????
