Exclamation A new Pioneer mixer!!!!

The Pioneer DJM-3000
To ensure the widest possible music-making flexibility, the DJM-3000 is equipped with an industry-first EFFECT MIX MODE that easily and accurately effects phrases in a BPM-linked operation along with an improved auto beat effector. In addition to ECHO and ZIP Pioneer has come up with another industry first effect that we have named “ROLL”. “Roll” does a mix while doing a drum roll to the beat of the music. A feature which allows the DJ/Remixer to uniquely take his music to a new level!

For Remixers we have added two digital outs who’s A/D converter is 20 bit/44.1kHz for the cleanest digital transfers. For those Clubland purists we have also added the ability to purchase an optional ROTARY volume dials for smooth club mixing.

Still with the most accurate internal “Beat Per Minute” counter in the industry, the AUTO BPM COUNTER automatically measures and digitally displays a track's BPM (measurement range: 70-139/91-180/70-180/Manual allowing the user to merge one song into another smoothly. Tapping on the TAP button enables you to manually input BPMs of tracks that are difficult to measure. DJ’s can now see the music beat, making it faster and easier to mix tracks with different beats.

Just like the DJM-600, the DJM-3000 inherited from it’s little sister all it’s effects including Delay, Echo, Auto Pan, Flanger, Pitch Shifter Reverb, Auto-Transform and Auto-Frequency Filter ALL of which are auto BPM effectable!

Linked to BPM, the DJM-3000 can add effects to each input (CHANNEL, MIC and MASTER) independently. The user can produce music that makes full use of high-level DJ techniques by performing quick setting with the BEAT UNIT SWITCH BUTTON, adjusting the precise time parameters, or controlling the balance between the effect sounds and the original sounds by varying the mix ratio. Moreover, even when using the fader, it is possible to leave just the effect sounds without linking to BPM.

Connected to the CDJ and CMX Series, the DJM-3000 can begin playback of a track using the sliding cross fader or the channel fader. It can mix tracks without creating spaces by setting the stand-by track's cue point and performing a single-action cut-in. Since it returns to the cue point via the back fader alone, sampler-style playback is also possible. The cross fader also has a selectable fader curve to fit all styles of Dj’ing.

EQUALIZERS
The DJM-3000 is equipped with a separate 3-band equalizer (HI/MID/LOW ) for each channel. This arrangement allows the stress of the instrument sounds to be adjusted within the range -26dB to +12dB.

OTHER NEW FUNCTIONS
* Improved TALK OVER level control: Mutes all levels apart from the microphone.
* MIC Switch (MIC OFF/MIC ON/TALK OVER)

* More LINE INPUTS (7)
* More TURNTABLE Inputs (4)
* Switchable Phono/Line Inputs
* More FADER START Inputs (4)
* THREE MIC Inputs (one Neutric two ¼ inch inputs)
* HEADPHONE MONITOR SPLIT: Also called headphone auditioning.
* Recording outputs
* Reinforced headphone jacks

* Frequency Reponse of 20Hz-20kHz (CD)

* Signal to Noise Ratio 87db (CD)

* Total Harmonic Distortion Rate 0.02% or less (CD)

So its just really a DJM-600 with that new Roll effect, a few more inputs and is 19-inch.. so it would be Pioneer's top of the line mixer now...!

Its pretty good marketing because when you have a 19-inch CMX dual CD players you would want a 19-inch to go with it.. so buyers would go for another brand cos so far til now Pioneer didn't have a 19 inch mixer. That's why that pic of the DJM-3000 and the CMX dual looks so good.. and they WILL eventually sell the 3000 and CMX 3000 or 5000 in a package..

It should be just little more than the 600 though.. should'nt be more than US$100 more

if it more.. i'd get the 600

how can you say that? Ever worked on the other Pioneers? I don't have one, but I spin with them often and I like them, they sound good and last a long time. I also think that it wasn't used at Mayday and Loveparade (Siegessäule) just because Pioneer offered the most money...

Yes, it's just a DJM-600 with a new effect processor, a few extra inputs and 19" rackmountable... but the retail price on that one is 1099$(USD), same as the DJM-600.. so it propobly will sell for about 950$.. which is worth it.
Plus, it has the Rotary knobs which IMO are sweeeet!!!!!
The sound's supposed to be better than the 600 (which is verrrryyy good).. so, i say it's gonna be a hit!

The sound of the 600 is very good.. not comparable to Xone or Rane, but it's still very good... the Xone 62 is one of the best mixers ever made, and it's main thing is the great sound... but Pioneer also have very good sound quality.
And the fact that it's compatible to the CMX-3000/CDJ-1000 will surely gonna help it sell..

Yeah, this looks like a nice mixer.
but, I think I'll let it pass me by, I don't need 19" of mixer on my
desk. and really, it's just one more effect, a few more inputs I probably wouldn't use..

I'm hoping that the price will come down on the DJM600 though, as a result of this. then I'll just go get that one.

I'm not changing my sig.
