Darude is not cheese

Listen to his new album Rush before complaining. He has redeemed himself from the abyss of cheesy tracks.

For example Passing By, Bitter Sweet, and the near-classic Music.

Eh, I don't get this "cheese" thing, it's a filler word used to complain about stuff peeps don't like or don't get. Big deal. Cheese is good for you anyway, like eggs... gotta get your protein. It's just a cop-out excuse so much of the time I find... and I'm guilty of saying it myself in the past.

That being said, I don't agree with everything Darude does, not my cup of tea. But I think his single "Sandstorm" was certainly a landmark for that buzzing, unique riff alone. I didn't get the point of the video, and the beats and synth strings may have been cliched, but hey, so's ATB's pitch-bent guitar and I recognize his singles as important in electronic music history too. Hey, can I mention I like Robert Miles' "Children" too? Or System F's "Out of the Blue"? Fact is, a lot of people like them, a lot of people have danced to them, and perhaps more importantly: had a good time.

YAY!!!

The video continues in Feel The Beat, makes more sense that way.

That synth is the best part of the tune. The other parts are rubbish.

This was already discussed when the album first came out. We agreed, the new album was much better than his older work.
