yeah, I just dont think they could get the requisite force, even after creating a "human whip" and using te last guy to headbutt the lion to break a rib or cripple it. Maybe a hamstringing, but Ive seen crippled lions fight and it doesnt threaten its life, they would still have to crush its neck, and its neck is too thick for 1 pair of gnome arms.

so they have to get 2-3 gnomes to wrap their arms around and do a concerted constriction for many minutes.

I mean...I guess if they wipcracked, hit its rib, breaking it, then had gnomes gnaw on its hamstrings on back legs and then when its crippled,the aforementioned constrictor happens and the rest of the gnomes grab its front legs and pile on its back...

THEN I can see them winning, but I just dont think the gnomes would be ready for that, and the numbers would be too thinned to do it by the time they got it down.

I vote lion.

If I was a midget, I would have to use the bones of my fallen comrades and sharpen them into weapons.

Doesn't guarantee success but it's better than trying to beat the lion to death.

I'd like to see the midgets win.. but seeing 42 midgets being mutilated beyond belief I think would be more entertaining.

I don't know about that but I remember seeing a whole bunch of midgets trying to pull a plane that was strapped to their backs. I think it was on the FOX channel, they have such wonderful programming.

dude what if while the lion was roaring one just fuckin dived in there? he could lodge himself in his throat and kill him pretty quick. If they used the patented "gnome-a-pult" they could LAUNCH that little dude with some very basic running arm slinging techniques and a well timed tail stomp could elicit the needed roar

Depends. How large is the loin? Is it a male loin? If it's an unnaturally large male loin, it could slap around the midgets. If it's an unnaturally large female loin, it could eat them all up.

But if it isn't some huge mutant loin, then the midgets win.

what about the lion's eyes?

40 midgets after 2 eyes.....something bad has got to happen to them. if the lion couldn't see, and the midgets were quiet, they could do some guerrilla warfare and take little midget mouthfuls of lion until the lion bleeds to death.

if they go for the eyes, i vote midgets hands down.
