FAO pc peeps

I'm looking at getting a new pc, would any of you lovely people be able to spec me a PC . Gonna buy all the parts off the net and then my brother's going to build it for me. I want to get a decent pc but i'm not sure how much it's going to cost me. 64 bit if possible.

Don't need a new monitor or anything because i'm getting a new one donated off my uncle but a keyboard and mouse would be good if they aren't too expensive

It's going to be mostly used for uni work and just generally surfing teh intarweb but also want it to be able to play decent games as well e.g. Doom 3/HL2.

Thanks in advance

no. the power supply is one of antecs budget power supply lines. you want either a true power antec or an OCZ powerstream (without spending nuts cash), plus you'd need atleast 550W to run that system, the system prob wouldnt even boot on 350W. u do not on earth need a 3700 A64, thats just mad. the extra on that could exchange value ram for decent ram. the nvidia 6800 series is alot better than ati's x800 series, both drivers and chip technology. the case wont be big enough (guessing) nor will it be designed properly to ventilate all the heat that gona get given off inside there. its not a bad package, but could be alot stronger for the same cash. seagate HDD's are better than hitachi too.
