Q: Piano VSTi or Samples

We are going to use a piano in our new track, We wanted to get some opinions wich is better getting a vsti for piano sounds or using samples.

Igloo try Luxonix Ravity (it's a ROMpler), this VST have good Piano sounds.

Indeed, Has the classic M1 piano(8)on it.

There are not really any decent piano vsts, sadly.

heh yep but sound is .. hmm good on vst some EQ some reverb delay and go

and i agree, there are not really decent piano VSTS

now if you want a piano, i'm not just talking about your run of the mill shit...if you want a 'real' piano that you're going to be happy with using on anything that requires a piano and are willing to shell out a few dollars for it...i've come to the conclusion on these very serious choices:

Synthology - Ivory Grand Piano

Sampletekk - Black Grand


now THOSE are pianos...forget reason, stienberg the grand or any of that. if you want a piano, those two choices are what you want!!!

I don't think you need something like Ivory grand piano for tranceproduction. These are more meant to be standalone pianosound. Most of their attributes get lost if you use them in a trance-mix anyways. I'd save up my money for a rompler-synth or a sample library
