Well I will keep this simple and introduce you all to what I am sure you will all find very useful, www.tracklists.ca . The site was created to get rid of all that wasted time trying to find the tracklist for a set you're listening to because you want to know the title of a specific track.

There are still a few little things that need to be fixed or worked on, but for the most part things run almost perfect. The site has been in testing for about 2 months and has a massive database that we believe is the most extensive of any other tracklist site on the net.

You will notice that we have a few streams on the site, and the initial idea that got the site started was to be able to simply click on the stream and the site will pull up the tracklist for the set that is playing. Well it does just that so long as the tracklist exists. If it does not exist in the system it will tell you and you will be able to upload the list if you have it. We hope to be able to work closer with these stations and other stations along with their residents and guests to be able to have those most current tracklists in our system as the sets are being aired and potentially have live sets lists updated live by the DJs or the stations host.

A few of the features of the site are as follows:

100% Canadian
Set name/Track name/Artist Search
3000+ tracklists
Upload lists
Edit lists
Click-On-Stream tracklist retrieval

Thank you so much for testing out the upload feature. It seems you have discovered a slight bug in our system. When you upload a tracklist, it goes into a 'waiting for approval queue' and gets checked by one of our admins. Once we check and it gets our nod, it gets sorted and is made available to the general public. Problem with our system right now is that when you run a search, it searches through the un approved, then links it to the directory it would found in if it were approved, hence generating the errors you found.

I have approved your tracklist, it was in mint condition, but until I find a spare hour this weekend, I am travelling all weekend, we will have to live with this tiny bug. Feel free to upload in the meantime, I will be approving a few times daily.

Once again, thanks for the feedback, great work!

Sincerely,
Andre LeFort

too bad your php scripts kind of suck and that you use javascript that works 50% of the time.
Thou you have a impressive amount of tracklists, thou you should have em in a database like mySQL instead of as .txt files on the server

If you ever need help, let me know
I'm still too lazy to add massive stuff to my site since it was only attended to be used for my own purpose but have become somewhat popular overtime... which I think is pretty damn cool

Why isn't there a place that gives Me, RvK, Konijn, Asperge or any one of the other people that spent years making sure all Tiesto tracklists were perfect? Yes i see that little mention on the bottom that points to TA...but TA didnt make those tracklists...we did.

Or was it you that ripped all IDs out of Tiesto sets? Or was it you who double checked everything against vynils and/or discogs? Or was you that IDed tunes by pictures of vynils near Tiesto's decks? etc etc etc

Personally I think and agree TA is the best place to get a tracklist.
However - I don't believe they are in any way copyrighted - you should've known better that once you put them on internet it's gone man. I see they copied my format but it's ok, the legacy goes on, more people get the tracklist they're looking for.

Oh and btw., red on green makes it impossible to read.

Since the search here sucks and threads are deleted.

Do you mean the tracklists.ca website? There is currently no green on the site, simply black and shades of grey. Are certain colors coming up green for you? If so, let me know where, we might have to make adjustments to certain colors.

Also, regarding tiesto14's comment. We do realize that you have worked tirelessly at these tracklists, and it is thanks to your hard work that we were even able to create this website! Thank you so much. I would love to be able to include the author/creator of each tracklist, but at the moment, we are unable. Within the next few weeks we are adding features that will allow us, and you, to include the author's name in the tracklist upload feature. I hope this will soften the blow. Thanks for your input!

Anuga, I have visited your site, and noticed that you have everything in a database, which is AWESOME. As for content, like you mentioned it, it is slightly lacking. We are already working on implementing a database structured system for the tracklist, the only challenge we have ahead of ourselves is the immense size of our tracklist database. Should be operational within a few weeks. Also, you mentioned that the javascript only works 50%, could you elaborate, we want to make this as easy to use and bug free as possible.

[edit] Just found a bug in the search results script, that may be what you were mentioning.[/edit]

Thanks to everyone for their input, we want to work with the community in order to make it easier for the community at large. Keep the comments coming!

Sincerely,
Andre LeFort
