when youre in the main program and have an empty project out...right click in the area to the left of the entire sequencing region..then add a new midi track..take your pencil looking tool on the top area of the screen and drag a line in the sequencer area. then when done double click on what you just made whichc should be an empty grey box. there you get a new screen which is the same piano role kinda feature as in FL. take the same draw and pencil tool and draw your notes....is that what youre tlaking about or no?
