I have a ton of quality music (roughly 3 gigs) that I absolutely have to put on my new Powerbook G4. My old Dell laptop doesn't have a firewire plug, so I can't just dump stuff on a firewire drive and transfer it over. It also doesn't have a CD-burner, so I can't transfer data that way either.
The only thing I can think of is using my USB port somehow or set up a network connection through my cable modem ports? Anyone have any other solutions?

My dear friend, I'm sorry to say it, but you are F***ed!
I'd do it over the network

Use a crossover (ethernet) cable to directly connect the two notebooks. They should both have ethernet ports and you should be able to just copy files.

With something like this crossover cable you plug each notebook into each end. Now you have a $10 dollar network, no need to get a hub or anything. On the PC create a share with the files you want to transfer and on the Mac mount the PC share. Then just drag the files to some location on the Mac... simple.
