Noted progressive house DJ/producer D:FUSE brings you ‘BEGIN’ – his debut artist album, featuring Motorcycle vocalist JES and twelve original tracks, plus two bonus remixes, including the singles "Everything With You" and "Living The Dream" –on System Recordings – D:FUSE is ready to take on WINNIPEG and is flying high on Delta Airlines and successfully pioneering his way through the un-chartered territories of XM Radio.

D:FUSE's DJ sets will include true live performance. To add a completely new angle to his shows, D:FUSE uses the Roland HPD 15 Handsonic to play live percussion during his DJ sets with 12 years of experience playing drums in various bands. He also features his own vocals as well as other artists for live PAs. D:FUSE says, "This allows me to interact with the crowd on a completely different level."

The journey for ‘BEGIN’ started three years ago, taking D:FUSE from the outskirts of London to Los Angeles to Chicago and beyond, writing and recording with JES (of MOTORCYCLE fame), Blueletter (aka Grayarea), Pete Lorimer (aka 29 Palms), and others. With the release of his debut artist album, Texan native D:FUSE showcases his songwriting and production skills, revealing a breadth of varied material with styles ranging from Trance to Dub to Downtempo to Synth-Pop to Acoustic and Ambient with instrumentation on the album including; saxophone, piano, cello and acoustic guitar.

“This album allowed me to write outside the strict confined of the dancefloor. And it was a very liberating experience. This album has allowed me to get back into song writing. I've been a lyricist all of my life and ‘Begin’ is all about moving away from instrumental tracks and moving more into heart-felt emotion through words." – D:FUSE

The awesome combination of driving, progressive trance anthems like “The Other Side” and “A Light Less Broken”, along with JES of MOTORCYCLE providing her hypnotic vocals on mesmerizing tunes like “Living the Dream,” “Everything With You,” and "Into Me" mark a stunning sonic experience. Plus, D:Fuse is fully embracing the artist album concept with his own vocals featured on tracks “Begin”, “Indecision”, “Know It's Late”, “Blue Skies”, and “Letter to a Friend”.

D:FUSE began his musical career writing and performing industrial music under the name "Culture Industry" before he turned to DJing. In 1998, he was signed to then premier electronic music label Moonshine releasing three mix compilations, and selling over 80,000 mix CDs for them. In 2001, D:FUSE was picked out of the lone star state for his DJ skills by Paul Oakenfold to tour with him on two consecutive North American Perfecto tours with over 50 cities and many sold-out dates. Then he followed up with a double CD mix compilation for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Presents series, "People" released in February 2002 and immediately entered the CMJ Chart at number 9. As a sequel to this, D:FUSE released “People_2: Both Sides of the Picture”, a 2xCD mix for System Recordings in 2003.

As a electronic music pioneer in alternative media outlets, D:FUSE can currently be heard on his own DJ mix show “The People’s Mix” one of America's top nationally broadcasted electronic music shows on XM Satellite Radio in the primetime Saturday night spot, heard by 100,000 "people" every week. He will be celebrating his 200th anniversary show in Summer 2005 featuring live simulcasts at clubs across the continent on The People’s Mix XM Radio North American Tour with dates TBA. He is also flying high on Delta Airlines in-flight music programming electronica channel with his very own 60 minute ”D:Fusion” mix on board.

Touring behind a steady stream of headlining club gigs that include and 4 DJ mix CDs released to date, D:FUSE’s global success as a DJ has been nothing short of astounding. And now, D:FUSE is poised to achieve even greater heights with the release of ’Begin’.

Let it BEGIN…

Tom Baker - UK Techno

From early influences in the acid house explosion of ‘88 through to the thunderous underground house and techno of the post-millennium, Tom Baker has constantly maintained a forward thinking yet floor-orientated musical vision. "I’ve got a pretty short attention span and get bored of records quickly so I’m always on the hunt for fresh and emerging sounds and ideas"
Initial club bookings in ‘91 led to his first monthly residency at London's Coliseum. Soon after, he was offered guest spots in the legendary main rooms of The Ministry of Sound and Bagleys film studios. In 1995 his ascent was confirmed as he received the winning entry in Mixmag magazine's nationwide DJ competition.
A bi-monthly residency in Holland in ‘99 opened the door to the global network of the underground house and techno scene, sending him on numerous missions overseas to entertain crowds from North and South America, Asia, and just about every European Country from Bulgaria to Germany to Ibiza to Hungary.
In between tours, Toms recently played at Fabric, Turnmills, and The Sanctuary in the UK, and his studio work has been signed up by the likes of Terry Francis (for his Wiggle imprint) and Asad Rizvi (for Wrong Recordings).
Tom’s ability to adapt and cross boundaries is highlighted by the variety of luminaries he’s shared gigs with, for example; Kenny Hawkes, Dave Angel, X-Press II, Robert Owens, Mark Broom and Rob Mello to name a few. Never one to be stereotyped Tom's equally comfortable playing slamming 3-deck techno, through to relaxed, quirky, underground house. But it’s his pumping tech house sets that have won him the most fans. Playing to the party with rapturous effect whilst equally striking into the hearts of the chin-strokers.
Tom can be found live on the radio waves, on the Open House Radio show, www.pulseradio.net Wednesdays, 9-11pm GMT with Natalie C and various international house and techno guests.

D:Fuse-Trance/Progressive

D:FUSE broke onto the Texas club scene ten years ago performing industrial music under the name Culture Industry. Influenced by bands like The Fixx, The Chameleons, U2, Ministry, and Depeche Mode, the young D:FUSE soon turned his energies to full-time DJing, spinning progressive music.

As his DJ reputation grew, D:FUSE began spinning all over the USA, Canada and Mexico. His first mix CD, "Psychotrance 2000,"was released in September 1999, was followed up with "Psychotrance 2001," and then "Progressive Mix Volume One," When D:FUSE's skills came to the attention of Paul Oakenfold, Oakenfold was so impressed that he offered D:FUSE the opening DJ slot on two North American Perfecto tours. This gave D:FUSE the opportunity to expand his horizons and establish his name with huge audiences. According to Oakenfold: "D:FUSE represents what I admire most. He's worked hard for what he's achieved, He's a fantastic DJ and artist, he has a creative mind and he understands the whole vibe."
A double CD mix compilation for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Presents series, "People" was released in February 2002 and immediately entered the CMJ Chart at number 9.
Working with a number of notable producers, D:FUSE has managed to keep his style fresh. Under the moniker of Expansion with writer/producer Shane Howard, D:FUSE caught the attention of many world class DJs, with "Feel" featured on Dave Seaman's "Global Underground - Buenos Aires" compilation and "Perspectives" licensed to Paul van Dyk's label, Vandit.
