**Possible Fix**Anyone have an old soundcard or latency problems?

I have a pretty old Sound Blaster Live Value card. It ran great on Win98SE and had about 25ms latency which was good enough for me. Once I upgraded to WinXP Professional I could not get the latency to go down below 100ms. I got the newest drivers and tried running in DirectX and MME. MME was noticebly better but still had 75+ ms. I discovered this driver online ASIO4All. I decided to give it a shot before I shell out some cash on a new soundcard. I installed it and used the ASIO driver in my host. WHAT!??! Less then 10ms. how can you determine your latency exactly?? i have been wanting to ask this question for a long time now

I had the same sort of latency problem - Im using an old Soundblaster Live! and got my latency to 10ms with the KX Audio drivers - FOUND HERE!

Dickie - if you are using Cubase goto
DEVICES->DEVICE SETUP->VST MULTITRACK->
then click CONTROL PANEL.

Thi should show the latency.
