G'day,

When I was in grade 7 (1993?) a friends brother made a techno/trance tape for me from a place he was DJ'ing at. Loved it, and played it almost to death. I still love the music off it today, but cant find it anywhere. I hear various samples from it quite reguarly in "new" music, but I'd love to find the originals...

I dunno who any of the artists are, or even where it came from. I dont _THINK_ my mates brother made any of the music, just copied it from some trance CDs he had and used in his DJ'ing. I'm not even sure what pigeon hole to put it in, but I'm guessing its just early electronica?

Apologies for the crap quality of the music, but I recorded it from an old tape player (only one I got!) into the mic socket of the sound card and then encoded it as a 64kb mp3. This was to keep the download sizes down. The original tape sounds a lot better, but definately not perfect.

The most important one (in terms of identifying it as a single album) is the 140k intro. It sounds like he says:
United Nations In Trance. Union Hardcore Mental Overdrive by Gary 1 3 8 B.

Dunno if that means anything off the bat, and I could have transcripted that wrong
