hi guys, i'd love to be able to find a really good vst/direct x plugin for high pass low pass band pass functions (is this referred to as a dynamic eq??? i've seen this phrase, but am not sure)

get a waves bundle...
then put your VST Shell in your VST folder
and use the Waves AudioTrack as the low/hig/bandpass............

as far as I know the audiotrack by waves is automatable...at least in Acid Pro
Hey. All controls on all VSTs are automatable (with some very minor exceptions). The idea of having VSTs was to be able to do anything with it, that you could otherwise do with MIDI and hardware racks. There are a few things in some VSTs hard linked to certain controllers or arent automatable, such as the options (duh) and some other minor bits of the software that may not really effect the sound in a realtime manner. The only reason that something (minus the exceptions) wouldnt be automatable is due to a fault/lacking/shortfall of the host app.
Waves audio track doesn't really have a filter. It has eq with shelfing but that's not really the same as a filter.

if u use fl they got a vst effect called fruity filter
its pretty good

look at the modes of band 1 and 4...it does have a high/low pass switch...now I feel a bit confused
