low/mid priced cdjs that actually last

So I'm in need of a new cd player since my old cdj-100 obviously is shite .. don't get the cdj100s, they simply don't last.

I have a cdj-200 too, it'd be interesting to see how long this one will hold

So.. What mid/low priced CD players out there actually last? Maybe I'm a bit contradictory in this question, but I'd like to believe that such cdjs exist

The cdj1000/800 and similar are out of the question due to my financial status, so I have my eyes set on these:

Axis 9 (has sleep mode to extend laser life, looks ok)
Denon S-1000 (denon generally seems to make high quality stuff..)

.. or maybe another cdj-200?
Vestax and stanton also have reasonably priced cdjs but I have no clue about them.

+1

cdj100s are probs one of the most reliable cd players there are. Im currently looking after a pair for a freind of mine which are about 3 years old and taken vast amounts of party related abuse

i had cdj100s for 4years and they worked fine, as of late i had passed them on and sold them to mike (who posted above)

btw. if you already have a cdj 200, go get another one. in my opinion it would be weird having two different CDJs, like a 200 and an axis9 or whatever. thought a cdj 800 and 1000 might be ok since they are similar

i thought it was almost impossible to break the cdj-100s'.

anyway i was thinking of updating to cd-200s' mainly because of the 0,02% pitch! dunno if i should do it though. depends very much on how much i could get from my cdj-100s'

you have obviously been using your cdj100 as a hammer or something. learn to look after your gear because pioneer cd decks are built to last for years.

there is nothing anyone here can recommend to you that will "last" longer.

I never said they didn't work, the jog wheel is a bit unresponsive and when finetuning a cue point it sometimes "jumps". Sometimes (rarely) it just refuse to read cds (originals of course), but after I eject/reinsert it usually works. Others have also had similar problems after around 2-3 years..

And no I haven't been brutal with them maybe just that I've been using them -a lot-

cdj100

Mate, I DJ out almost every weekend in dirty smokey pubs and clubs, And have never had a problem with my CDj 100s! They've even had the odd drink spilt over them and they've never let me down.

I'd get some more for the price

I think the key to the jog wheel is to be nice and steady. If you hammer it or move it too quickl, like you say, it becomes unresponsive.

Are the Numark CDN's any good? You know the twin cd players. I'm thinking about getting one of those. Cheap and basic but they seem like a good deal for a newbie like me, especially the CDN22Mk3.
