ok I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I just don't understand, I've seem some web posts but I still just don't understand!!!

Automation in Fruityloops... can someone please tell me in 'idiot language' how the bloody hell you do it!?

Sorry for being so dim, but thanks in advance for any info.

Here's THE simplest way to do it. (It's not the best way to do it!)

#1 Choose an empty pattern
#2 Hit the record button
#3 Hit the play button
#4 Tweak buttons and stuff
#5 Hit stop!

The actions you do are recorded into that pattern.
Say you faded out the main volume, it'll do it each time you play that pattern.

I find using automation clips the easiest! Just right-click on the parametre you wanna automate, and choose to create an automation clip. You then you'll have a clip loaded on the playlist. Just expand the clip, and automate away! This is a new feature in fl5, and it saves you alot of time, and work. Automation in cubase is still better, but this closed the gap a little.
