A little hard track I'm working on...need opinions and feedba! [crappy track warning]

Hey guys, I came up with this just now...I've never done a song empty like that, you know. So...it's not done...it's just the "frame"...but I would like suggestions on how to make it better and more pumping...elements and stuff! I think it is my best work sound wise...I think I am starting to lose the "newbie" sound. Thanks in advance, guys!

Your stuff never sounded terribly noobie-ish to me anyway... or maybe thats just my unrefined noobie ears talking.

Style is kinda tech housey or something. Not my usual tastes, but I'll check it out.

The kick and bass go very well together at the start although maybe the bass could be a smidgen louder perhaps? Otherwise, definately has a mad pumping feeling to it.

Interesting percs. I think those double hihats are contributing to the housey feel. Its wierd how a simple hihat can change the feel of a track... anyway I digress.

0.55... the percs get a tad cluttered here. You could tighten this up some more. Nice synth introduced here too, very tight work.

1.24... nice subtle perc changes keep it interesting. That synth you introduced sounds a little thin. I like the idea but it sounds a little 'wet' and squelchy which I'm not liking it too much.

2.48... Starting to get the hint of a melody here. Very restrained synth use here too. Kinda nice, thumpin stuff.

As fas as ideas for progression go, I'd suggest screwing round with the beats a bit. Some subtle changes like reverse the snare or hihat for a few bars, pitch the kick down for a few bars. Just get creative, because big stompy tunes like this can loose interest after a while if your not careful. Just keep it interesting...

Good start though, cant wait to hear the final =)

Sounds good but def needs more but like you said you arent done...I suggest a nice layer of groove and possibly some acid or buzz effects. I think you can also echo out or flange some of the percs and add another layer of Synth.

OK but I have a question, though...what makes this track NOT trance? I thought it was hard trance...but I never push what I make. It just comes out the way I make it...I don't rush it or push it to a direction. I mean, it's not finished...it's missing pretty much everything. I'm just in doubt. And it doesn't mean it can't be played at a club, right? I mean, I wouldn't mind bumping this in a club when it's finished...
