I can't see how bluetooth headphones would appeal to the dj as of now. I mean it is already hard enough to find headphones that function well and that'll last longer than a year. With the added issues of battery life, and wireless sound quality, I can't see them taking off this year. Maybe in 5????

Its a good enough idea i guess but for a dj i really cannot see the point behind it... i mean bluetooth exists as a wireless connection/transfer standard for mobiles, and the headsets as hands free devices. I mean is a cord really that much of a problem comming off your cans? During a mix Who really notices or is bothered by it here? Not to mention if the signal fucked up whilst playing you would not be impressed...

But if your trying to pin accross bluetooth headphones for just normal day to day wear and not the dj booth then i think its quite a good idea... the little wires shit me to tears when i have them in and if i move my arms they get yanked out of my ears... So yea i cant wait to see how they go in that respect

wireless signal means that your headphones are gonna have to have amps inside them. and the kind of amps that are needed to push the headphones in a dj booth are gonna make it quite bulky compared to normal wired headphones.

i for one do occasionally get tangled up in the wires when im goin to pick out my next track but i think thats just cos im a fuck up and my vinyl is miles away from my decks.

i think bluetooth headphones are a very good idea for just general listening but for a dj im not sure. what if the signal fucks up or summat and just how bulky would they have to be?

not to mention some decent sized batteries too

i dont think the bluetooth standard is aimed at high quality audio either (correct me if i'm wrong) but i thought it was designed for voice transmission, might be alright for everyday listening but not djing

I cant wait till bluetooth enabled portable CD players / MP3 players finally come out. They are going to be nice.

Consider this, 92% of the worlds population feel that their lives could be better, what about you? If you could do anything, anything at all... what would you do? What are you doing now? Imagine that you could live your life knowing it could not be better and never feeling that you would rather be doing something else, be somewhere else, or be someone else. Now consider this, some people actually live that way and so could you. Contemplate this, what if 90% of the problems you encountered in your life were mere illusion and only existed in your mind? In your everyday life whenever something annoys you, stresses you, makes you mad or makes you sad, consider if that something really matters. Will you even remember how you felt in 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or what about in 10 years? So when the people you work for pressure you and fail to understand you does it really matter? And when they call you on the phone screaming and yelling does it matter? And should you really allow that to influence your life? It's all about choices.

I've got wireless headphones and use them every night (not for dj'ing just tv). They work pretty well. Digital bluetooth ones should be an advancement though. It will remove any form of noise due to transmission (or just cut out at bits, but it really shouldn't).

In addition being done to the bluetooth standard they will be interchangeable with other devices.
