The best way I've found is to just sit in your room, and mix. It's going to suck for a while, but you'll start figuring stuff out. I don't know where you stand in terms of equipment or music collection, but if you spend an hour or two doing this every day, you'll start seeing the kind of improvements that no video can help you with.
