Can't Record Audio, Plz Plz Help (i beg!!! this sucks)
sorry for being so dramatic, but this sucks so much not being able to record audio. i would be so greatful on my hands and knees if anyone can solve this for me.
i'm using an echo mia midi soundcard in the control panel under audio, the recording field is completely greyed out and i can only adjust the playback settings. (in the recording it gives me the options on analog in or digital in, but picking either choice doesn't help my senario) i'd appreciate the help soooooo much! thanks

have you been able to record before?
if so, then perhaps there's a setting that's been inadvertently changed preventing you from recording? try re-installing your drivers.
if not, then try another soundcard.

^ thanks for the reply, i havne't been able to record with the sound card (i just got it recently used) and obviously you should be able to record audio with a professional sound card like the echo mia midi (and i've updated the latest drivers many times over just making sure if that was the problem). its really annoying not being able to record audio right now.
plz, anyone else, i'd appreciate the tips.

The sound card should have it's own cotrol panel, rather than using the standard windows audio control panel thing. In there, I'm sure you will find the answer to your problems.

thanks for the replies so far, unfortunately i'm not going to be on my own computer until prolly thursday. i'll definately take a bunch of screen shots to hopefully figure this out.
good to hear you have the same card 'dj' hopefully you'll have an idea of what it is.

hey guys, i finally got a chance to take a screen, unfortunately its not the largest picture...plz help me out if you can though, i'd appreciate it. remember, the problem is i can't record audio in anything, in the control window in xp that section is greyed out, so i can't even adjust mixer settings...i have also been fiddling around with the echo mia mixer but have had no luck. and i do have the latest drivers....
