Confused help please

hi, i have recently bought reason 3 and a edirol pcr-m50 midi keyboard.
i am using rewire with cubase sx, the problem is i can not get an out put signal!

what step should i take to fix it, i have read the manual (reason3) and cubase pdf file but just cant find what the problem is.

i asign the keyboard as MIDI IN, and asign the output as the vsti, but no output.

when using reason 3 WITHOUT REWIRE IT WORKS FINE.

HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRIECIATED!

Cubase is the master and is hence taking control of the midi device. Reason is the bitch and so the signal isn't making it to reason. That's my theory anyway.

Why are you using Cubase? If you understand how to use Cubase, you will need to activate the parts of reason that you want to rewire in the devices drop menu and then create a midi channel and set the input as your midi controller assuming you have set it up in Cubase and then assign the output of that midi channel to the device in reason that you want it to control.

have you activated the rewire channels in Cubase SX?

Yiou have to do this so the audio inputfrom Reason inputs into SX. F11 - Rewire - tick the green buttons on the rewire channels.

cheers,

BB

Yeah, go to the upper menu and click Reason and turn on the main channels. Then go and create a MIDI track and select on the output whatever instrument of Reason you want to use.
