I hate bumping this lol - usually i get a lot of feedback quickly - maybe its the off season.

so many views, so little feedback.

Here's some quick info about the mix - maybe more people will post afterwards.

It's 63 mins long and was spun at 138 bpm. This is the first set I did using my newly purchased equipment (used to use only computer stuff).

9 of the 11 transitions are done well from what my close frineds have told me, the other 2 are ok or mediocre, the worst being the one from avb - serenity to ahmet ertenu's - why.

This is the first mix in my summer series. A new one will be about soon hopefully, I am already forming the tracklist

Thank you! (and leave feedback, PLZ! )

Ok, well, good mix man, but you really need to work on your mixing skills with your new equipment IMO. I have been really picky about this lately so I may seem a bit harsh, but I thought about 70 percent of the transitions were off. The worst one being Serenity into Why, and that's not a real good way to start out a mix.

Your track selection is good and fans of the genre will definately like your tastes. Although I would not say this mix is "Proggy" in the least. It definately fits into more of the high-energy/epic trance genre IMO.

I think you need to work out a few kinks with your new equipment and you will be groovin'. Again, I have become really picky (snobish actually ) about set mixes lately so excuse me if I sound a bit harsh. I do feel that you should really work on your transitions, maybe do them a few times to get the feel of the two tracks your mixing. Because really the first mix you do is a really bad trainwreck (not counting Souvenir de Chine into Serenity because it's not much of a mix, although it is well done ), this causes the listener to be distracted early on and kinda knocks them out of the groove.

Also, on a personal note. I hate Serenity. Sry, but it is obviously a rip-off of the Adiago for Strings remix. This track has really gave me a lower view of AvB. Sry to bum ya out, but I can't help notice the exploitation going on here.

Any way, keep it up, work a little harder on your recorded material, and spend more time mixing than making pretty pictures! lol

haha, point taken. I spent about 2 days pracitcing this mix before i recorded, the original one I had had ab out 5-6 of the same tracks and 4 others. I'm working on the second mix now, slowly - taking more time. I'll probably end up redoing this one in the future for my own self - you know, perfecting a vision lol.

I guess i'll keep you updated if thats cool?

Thanks again dude

i pretty much agree with metatron, u need to learn ur beatmatchin.... even the mixes that sound liek they're on, u only let those transitions last a few seconds which makes u wonder if u made those transitions longer, how much longer would it take before those beats started slippin.... other than that, the track order from one to another i found enjoyable, when u get ur beats down ull be makin some good sets

I'll repost it then
