Hi mates.
I have a pentium 4 PC with sound card on board (bliahh) and I work with Reason software. My Pc is connected with a hi-fi and all the production I listen it from this. When I finish the job I usually uplift the main volume for all the track by Nero because my sc flips a lot .I uplift it untill to see the bar going red.The problem is that when I upload the track at 128Kbs at Soundclick for example it isn't so loud and the track is to wheak to be heard.Do you suggest anything?
you need audio editing program like sounforge.. where ou can see what really going on!!
and it's true.. when you export audio from reason it's like -6 db

You need to calibrate your signal path so that you are working off what we call 'nominal', all showing the same values.
Also, you must never peak beyond 0dBfs in a digital system, that equates to clipping or distortion. Infact if you can, keep it a couple of dBs below 0, that way you leave enough headroom for dynamics or for editing later.
If you need to get a stronger level then try compression.

Compress your waveforms and use a mastering limiter.
Palancar Wares has a brickwall limiter you can use... check out this site, it has loads of great freeware VST effects for all stages of your track production.
