Angry 5 cool points to...

ANYONE who can mix:

T. Raumschmiere - Koenig Shuffle (pt. 2)
[side b2 on shitkatapult 048, VA - Musick to Play in the Club]

into anything. yes. this thing is impossible. the bassline and the kick are as one. i've only heard Jerry Abstract (also has a track on that release) try it and he sort of did fuck up, yes. i've not even heard Raumschmiere try, granted, he's not much of a good mixer, but if not even the producer wants to have a go, it say a lot.

sucks, cuz i love this track. mmmm, electro.

that's just it, when i got this track, after listening to it, i was in love. and the structure sounded so simple, a 4x4.

when you listen to it with another track, you start going crazy. i'll see if i can find a sample...

yes. junorecords hosts this: http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF169171-01-01-03.mp3

I checked out that track sample. It is 4 beats per bar except at 15 seconds there is a 2 beat bar, which is a 2 beat break, and then he restarts the 4 beat bars. So this track sample segment is unusual in that it contains one bar of 2 beats that can mess up your timing if you are trying to mix in something when that short 2 beat bar happens. Almost everything in EDM is always 4 beats per bar and the breakdowns are usually multiples of 4 beats in length. Assuming there are several of those 2 beat bars in the full Raumschmiere track, that could throw you off.

The BPM is constant at 127.03. But a slightly unusual thing is the drumbeat does not always occur exactly on the beat - so there is very small breakbeat characteristic that could sound "off" when you are mixing or transitioning to another track. There's probably a word for that slight timing variation - I don't think it's syncopation, I looked it up and that's not it.

Nice track - Definitely turned me on to a new (to me) Producer...

I can definitely sympathize - I have never once successfully mixed Petter's "Tone Diary..."

Good luck bro, sorry I can't be more helpful beyond empathy

I used the sample you have provided and was somewhat able to make it sound OK with Alter Ego - Rockre (Erol Alkans Deaf Disco Revied)

Anybody got a better longer clip, I kinda got this down, mixing it with Tall Paul - Rock Da House, not the best track to mix with, but its the only one I got with a similar sound, I just need it longer, even mixing fromt the start, 1 min isn't enough, it too fast of a transition.

exactly. when i mix it, it's like it's pitched, but no it's not, but, yet is it. ok, so it's not synced? no wait. it is. no wait, it's not. no... fuck you. DIE RAUMSCHMIERE DIE! but he makes good shit. yes. this is good. fuck. there's a trainwreck going for 30 seconds now...

The actual mixing sucks ass, as I've only had tables for a week, but I think the beatmatching is there, which is what I assume you were talking about.
