sounds like you ripped this from a set when that kick comes in... how odd

the percussion is impressive, good use of stereo fx, cool atmosphere with your numerous synth lines.. goes into break with a bit happening but nothing that is standing out for me..little acid thing is nice. Clearly going for a pregressive/technoish sound here... it has nice energy when it comes in from the break, i dunno about that kick though, it's probably just the bit rate but it sounds quite muddy, which as a result takes away some of the potential energy.

anyway, this is cool, nice to chuck in a set for a bit of energy, but not something that would stand out to the crowd that prefers to hear characteristic melodies and sounds... which is clearly not what you;ve tried to do here, so all in all i like what you;ve done and you've done it well.. and i think the title 'zulu' is quite appropriate.

nice work mate

Cheers Lew,

The kick is a bit sharper when the quality is up... im only a 56ker ATM, its depressing uploading tracks that are huge. I did not intend to put much effore into the synth lines rather than some of my other work. Jus simple percussive "TEK" if u like...

Thanks again.
Terry

Exclamation ***UPDATE***

***UPDATE***

Popped a new kick into the track so it doesent sound like its ripped from a track. the saw lead has been upped an octave to make it stand out a bit more and also added a square to make the frequencies stand out. done a quick percussion master also. see what you guys think.

Hey There - thought id take a liaten and give you a review -

Just listening now,

Didnt hear the previous one but the kick sounds ok anyway,
I like the break - not too long and builds back up nice,
and i agree with Lew.D about the energy - nice and pumping
although not much variation - could do with a bit of mixing up afterwards.
Overall though it sounds good to me - keep it up!

MP

Ps - would you return the favour by reviewing my latest upload Feeling Strong - thanks.

Comments.....

- I thought this was going to have some sort of very standard John Askew/ Paul van Dyk sound to it... but it veered away from that. I really like the groovy feel of this track. I can see someone mixing into/out from Massive Motion with this track. Still it's missing a few elements. I think that you can add a countermelody on some of the high end of the spectrum and a few percussion effects. Also, I think it would be a good idea to keep the breakdown short on this one since it's not too much of an emotional rollercoaster. Not too shabby
