I'd like to know people's opinion of Bayern Munich and how they are protrayed in other countries. I myself don't support them (Hamburg SV), but they are a pretty strong team right now.
=> new players next season
- Ali Karimi (Al Ahli Dubai)
- Valerien Ismael (Werder Bremen)
- Phillip Lahm (Vfb Stuttgart)

Karimi should do well, if he gets used to German football from Asian one. He's got a lot of talent though. I'm guessing Lahm is going to replace Lizarazu who is getting old.
I like Bayern, but IMO their heydays are past. Their squad isn't deep enough as it used to be, say 2 yrs ago. Need to pick up another striker to help out Pizarro and Makaay.

Bayern Munich and especially German football will have problems with the physsicalness of the other leagues. Football over the years has just come more physical after there is a strong presence of english football teams now in international competitions. Bayern Munich will have to adjust and also other leagues. Magath himself said that abouth the premiership when he was playing against Chelsea.
There is a difference that has to be pointed out

Wasn't physical power germany's biggest argument when they were a massive force as a national team? (1986-1996) Why should the bundesliga teams have any trouble with more physical play, I thought they were still on the top of the game when it comes to that?

A bit off-topic but what do you think about Van Buyten of Hamburg?
Newcastle are interested in him but I heard Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich are also interested. Do you think he'll leave Hamburg this summer?

Na, I think Van Buyten is gonna stay. He said so, which good for us. It'll damn good for him to play along side with Rafael Van der Vaart. Awesome squad we've got now.
